Trooper!
Hudson went to the doctor this week and had to get a series of shots. He was a trooper though, barely even cried! This is a picture of him lying on the bed at the doctor's office. He was being really cute… tearing up the white paper on the bed and trying to eat it. He got a great report from his pediatrician!

Vacation Time
New Baby... Want to get out of the house? Our new family went on an adventure to Florida for some needed beach time. We joined the Tatem family in Watercolor... The most amazing / relaxing vacation beach spot ever. Hudson loved the beach! Although he couldn't do much being 7 weeks old, he slept like a baby in the ocean breeze listening to the crashing waves. Breck on the other hand, went kayaking and crab hunting with the big boys. Kristin and I enjoyed some girl time while the boys went deep sea fishing. This week in Florida was a great getaway and a nice breather before heading back to work. Here are a few pictures Kristin took while there! Breck was so sweet and gentle with Hudson.

Sometimes what we perceive as hardships are actually blessings in disguise
Dear Family and Friends,
Hudson is beautiful and already adored by us. We received the unexpected news after his arrival that he was born with Down Syndrome. We feel privileged that God would entrust us with this gift and allow us unspeakable joy as he has entered our lives. We have faith that every baby is created for good purpose and has potential to make this world a better place. We are truly blessed.
We want to give you time to adjust to the news, so you don't feel the need to have an immediate response. We hope you will feel the same as we do, we're happy and proud. We would like you to see him as we do, a Beautiful Baby Boy. We also want you to treat him just like any other baby--Congratulate US--Be happy we have a baby. We're a family now, this is not a sad moment, PLEASE do not apologize, we aren't sorry. We are still gathering information on Down Syndrome and probably won't be able to answer every question at this time. We would like to encourage you to call us and come to see Hudson. He sleeps, eats, cries, and dirties diapers, just like every other baby. He's just got an extra chromosome.

Slideshow of Hudson's Birthday
July 27, 2009... Happy Birthday Hudson. This was the happiest day of our lives and we have it all captured in photographs. Our friend Kristin Tatem was in the delivery room with us the whole way through. Bo called her his second push partner! She was great and we are so blessed to have had her there to document this for us. Thanks Kristin!
